Joyner To Remain At Penn State As Athletic Director

Having the “acting” designation removed from his title, Dave Joyner has been named athletic director at Penn State and will serve in the job through the term of university president Rodney Erickson, Erickson said Monday.Erickson took over after president Graham B. Spanier was forced to resign shortly after the indictment of former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky on child-sex abuse charges in November 2011. Erickson has said he will step down by June 2014, and a search committee has been appointed to find his successor.
Penn State will conduct a national search for a new athletic director after Joyner leaves, according to the statement said.
