Legendary Minn. Track Coach Dies

Niilo "Ed" Hendrickson, who was one of Minnesota's pioneering high school track and cross country coaches, died last week in Virginia. He was 89. Hendrickson started track and cross country programs at Embarrass High in 1948. He eventually coaches at Edina for 29 years. He is in the Minnesota Track and Field Coaches Hall of Fame.
