Rebuilding Team From Ground Up

In various spots around the Sam Houston Math, Science and Technology Center campus, construction is ongoing. Improvements to the gym are being made. On the football field, a new scoreboard was installed. And surrounding the field, work has begun on a track surface.

It will be the first time since the 2007 season concluded that the Tigers have played a varsity football game. In the summer of 2008, the state's education commissioner ordered that Sam Houston High School be closed after years of poor academic performance.
